Rotary Club of Kona Sunrise News and Updates

News & Announcements

Hawaii Rotary Youth Foundation logo Skyla Elder, a young lady from West Hawai'i, received TWO scholarships from the Hawaii Rotary Youth Foundation, which was founded by 'Sully' Sullivan during his year as the Rotary's District Governor in Hawaii, 1976-77. Each year, several $5,000 scholarships are awarded to students from the Hawaiian islands. These students then go on to compete for one of two $10,000 scholarship awards.

This year, Skyla won BOTH scholarships - very special for a student to win from a small town high school. This young lady is truly special!
